Solhon has completed a donation project installing a 15kWh solar energy storage system at a rural primary school in the Dodoma region of Tanzania, providing reliable power for classrooms, a computer lab, and evening study sessions for 300 students.
Before the installation, the school relied on a diesel generator running two hours per day. The new system pairs 8kW of rooftop solar with a 15kWh LiFePO4 battery cabinet, sized to run the computer lab and lighting through the evening study period with two days of autonomy during cloudy weather.
Local technicians were trained on system maintenance during commissioning, and monitoring data is shared with the school administration via a simple web dashboard. Solhon plans to fund two additional school installations in 2027 through its community energy program.
